Nine compounds are studied for antioxidant activity, including those from the class of catecholamines containing 3,4-hydroxyphenyl (catechol) as a common structural fragment, which imparts properties to in reactions hydrocarbon substrate oxidation. The antiradical activity is determined by chemiluminescent method interception peroxyl radicals model reaction initiated oxidation ethylbenzene (RH). mechanism inhibition chain processes diatomic phenol provided presence two active hydroxy groups with possible intramolecular hydrogen bond, leading weakening О–Н bond and high rate constant abstraction (kinh). This dominant determines inhibitory antioxidants processes. maximum shown 3,5- 3,6-di-tert-butylpyrocatechins, dopamine, epicatechin.
